Boundless Circulation and Hold Information

View your Boundless circulation and hold information beneath Boundless books you have purchased in Title Source 360 to assist in purchasing decisions.

Search Results and Cart Details 

View your circulation data directly from Search Results, and from the Cart Details pages. Click on the Boundless Circs and Holds Data button within Search Results. This button displays on all Title Source 360 layouts: Stacked, Table, and Tile. Below is an example of the button in Table view on the Search Results page.



Once you click on the button, your circulation and holds data displays.



Note: To view circulation data at the cart-level, make sure that the Boundless account set as your default within My Preferences is the same as the account assigned to the cart you are viewing. You can select the account associated with the cart on the Account Summary tab, located at the top of the Cart Details page.

If you don’t have a default account set within your Preferences, Title Source 360 will use the default account for your organization.


Item Details

Circulation data displays directly on the Item Details page as well. Expand the Circulation tab to view this information.



Community Share Organizations

If you are part of a consortia or community share, the below is an example of how your information will display when you click on the Boundless Circs and Holds Data button on Search Results, Cart Details, and/or the Item Details page for an item. Member libraries can have a maximum of four parent libraries/shared collections.



Definitions

Below is a list of definitions displayed within the Boundless Circs and Holds Data pop-ups on Title Source 360 to help you understand the numbers you see with this enhancement.
 

• Own
  • Single Library – Total number of copies currently in your inventory.
  • Consortia Library – Total number of copies in inventory at your shared (parent) site.
• On Loan
  • Single Library – Total number of copies currently checked out.
  • Consortia Library – Total number of copies currently checked out from all member sites for this parent library.
  • Consortia Library My Collection (Public Library Member Site) – Total number of copies currently checked out from the public library member site.
• 12 Months Circ
  • Single Library – Total number of times the title has been checked out within the past 12 months.
  • Consortia Library – Total number of times the title has been checked out from all member sites for this parent library.
  • Consortia Library My Collection (Public Library Member Site) – Total number of times the title has been checked out by member-site patrons.
• Holds
  • Single Library – Number of patrons who currently have the title on hold.
  • Consortia Library – Number of patrons for all member sites for this parent who have the title on hold.
  • Consortia Library My Collection (Public Library Member Site) – Number of patrons from this member site who have the title on hold.
• Holds Ratio
  • Single Library – Ratio of the number of patrons who have the title on hold for member sites on this parent to those
  • Consortia Library – Ratio of the number of holds from member sites to the total number owned. For example, if a member and a shared (parent) site both have inventory, those numbers will be added together for the total number owned.
  • Consortia Library My Collection (Public Library Member Site) – Ratio of the number of holds from patrons at my member site to the total number owned. For example, if the member has their own copies of the title, they will be added to the number of copies owned that are also owned by the shared (parent) site.
• Shared Collection – The shared collection is the parent(s) associated with a member library.
• Total Licenses (displays only if the title has a lending model with a limited number of checkouts)
  • Single Library – Total number of checkouts available at the time of purchase. When a copy expires, the number here will be recalculated based on the number of copies available in your inventory. For example, if you have one copy with 26 checkouts, the Total Licenses will reflect 26 total checkouts. If you purchase three copies with 26 checkouts each, the Total Licenses will reflect 78 checkouts.
  • Consortia Library – Total number of checkouts available at the time of purchase on the copies in the shared (parent) site. When a copy expires, the number here will be recalculated based on the number of copies available in inventory. For example, if you have one copy with 26 checkouts, the Total Licenses will reflect 26 total checkouts. If you purchase three copies with 26 checkouts each, the Total Licenses will reflect 78 checkouts.
  • Consortia Library My Collection (Public Library Member Site) – The total number of checkouts available at the time of purchase on the copies at the member site. When a copy expires, the number will be recalculated based on the number of copies available in inventory.
• Checkouts Remaining (displays only if the title has a lending model with a limited number of checkouts)
  • Single Library – Total number of checkouts you currently have available to use. For example, if you have one copy of a title with 26 total circulations that has been checked out three times, you still have 23 checkouts remaining.
  • Consortia Library – Total number of checkouts left to use on the copies in the shared (parent) site. For example, if there is one copy of a title with 26 total circulations that has been checked out three times, there are still 23 checkouts remaining.
• Last Checkout Date
  • Single Library – The date the last checkout for this title occurred.
  • Consortia Library – The date the last checkout for this title occurred. Because inventory is shared in this case, the last checkout could potentially have occurred from any of the member sites sharing this content.
• Lending Model
  • Single Library – The type of lending model the library purchased for the title.
  • Consortia Library – The type of lending model the library purchased for the title.
• Checkouts Remaining
  • Single Library – Total number of checkouts remaining, based on how many checkouts have been completed.
  • Consortia Library – Total number of checkouts remaining, based on how many checkouts have been completed.
• Expiration Date (displays only for titles that have an expiration date; titles that do not expire display an N/A in this column)
  • Single Library – Date the last copy expires.
  • Consortia Library – Date the last copy in the shared (parent) site expires.
